Award of contract to foreign firm: TIP accuses PHA of violating PPR
The Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has accused Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) of misusing Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani's name for awarding contracts to a foreign private sector company. The TIP has received complaints that the PHA did not follow the Public Procurement Rules (PPR), 2004 in the recent award of contracts for procurement of works, service, goods or award of contracts for partnership with the private sector, as well as consultancy contracts.
