Cement industry to collapse if not rescued: prices already on higher side
The countrys cement industry is understood to have conveyed its woes to the government saying that it would collapse if financial benefits were not extended to it in the next budget. "Reduction in PSDP, high cost of energy, high interest rate, and Rs 96 per bag tax are some of the reasons of decline in the cement industry," sources said.
